Well since there is some interest out there about my Mini Mustang, I thought I would post up a little spot here on this subject.
WHERE did you get that mini stang???? I want a matching toy too!
The car was bought a while back at Fryes electronics last November.
Back then they came with clear glass and interiors.
I bought another one today for a back-up and spare parts at Target, ON SALE, for $30.00.
It was there last one at the store in Wooddale,Il.
As you can see by the pics below, now they make them without interiors and the have blacked out windows.

I cut the top off using the good lo dremal abrasive disks, repainted it with testors grabber orange paint and some autoparts store stripes....voila, a minitature clone!!!!

The car electronics are really junk and the whole thing died this August at a car show in Wooddale.
Met a guy there who said he had an old RC10 with all the parts for free if I wanted it.
I took him up on his offer and started modifying the buggy to fit on the New Bright Mustang body.

I also added lights both front and back so during those early spring and late fall car shows, I'll have a illuminated mini Mustang during the evening .

I installed a on off toggle switch in the interior at the shifter for the lights.

I still have some work to do to get the RC car ready for this comming spring.
I also bought another car this week at Target.
For $30.00, on sale, better go and get yours today (11-29-08) before the sale ends.
I get a lot of looks at my real Mustang at shows because of this little car.
The local newspaper saw me at the Elk Grove Village show and put my Pony in the paper!

I am really bummed about the Ford Pinto caption blooper!
I told the newspaper man it was a Ford Grabber Orange "PONY" Mustang!!!!
Let this be a lesson to all you newspaper reporters out there!
Anyway, it's kind of fun when you have seen all the show stuff and are getting bored with the scene during a long show.
