Steve,

The car looks great. It looks detailed.

Now one thing..... am I reading this correct? your plugs are Motorcraft AGSF 22 FM spark plugs. Aren't these platinums? If so, please remove it from your car at your earliest convenience. Do not boost the car.
Go get cheap copper plugs with one heat range lower (i.e. I prefer NGK TR-55(stock) or TR-6(colder)) and gap them at 0.035 and put them in.
Do not go to drag strip with that set up. It WILL burn the platinum tips and you will misfire.

Steve
thats the plugs for the 03/04 cobras so i thought they would be fine with boost?
i had a bad experience with some NGK plugs a couple years back. i switched to these after a bad experience i had a couple years back with some ngk's.
does motorcraft make a copper plug that's 1 heat range cooler?

finally got around to wiring in the cobra style fog light connections for the bulbs that the cobra fog lights accept. i cut the old connections off, saudered the new ones in and taped over the wire. these are great for this application and can be bought through 50resto for about $20 for both.
the old GT style connection:

I installed the power pipe today. In the process I remove the other tubing from my high mileage pro charger kit and grinded off all of the rust and re-coated it black. no more of that foil coating junk that flakes off and harbors rust underneath it.

My old digital boost gauge was scrambled. The boost evidently had faulty LED's in it or whatever from what the company said when i called them. All it was displaying was gibberish. I recently bought an AutoMeter boost gauge from darkhorse steve and installed it the other day.

procharger off. i went ahead and changed the procharger oil and polished it a little more. i had a new alternator sitting around already, so i used this as a chance to upgrade. you can see the old & new next to each other.

i ended up degreasing some of the many years' worth of daily driven belt dust and road grime on the front timing cover.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b45/MustangSteveGT/DSC02901.jpg
then, with the new vacuum line in place I put the new alternator in, supercharger back on and even changed the belt.
today, it's onto the blown side gasket on the intake manifold.

I've been driving the car again off and on for a couple of weeks now. Dark Horse did a tune for me. It's running great. Very smooth. The intake is painted to match like the two-tone ones Fox Lake makes available now. The EGR valve junk was deleted from the intake during the process of the rebuild.

Classic Touch in Libertyville just started putting everything together today. I went with a Steeda Q400 hood which is actually made by Kanean. It is a very high quality piece. Had to move the front bumper to position since it was positioned for the 03 cobra hood vs. a 99-04 v6/GT hood. Other than that, he want 100% happy with how the side fenders were positioned but that didnt have so much to do with the hood. You can tell this is a very high quality piece. The contour of the hood that slipes down the front top aspect lines up pretty damn good with the stock fenders for an aftermarket hood. Other than positioning the 03 cobra bumper it all matches up pretty good when the hood is closed all the way. He's going to get it to the point where it lines up even better with the front bumper than what the hood was even designed for. There will be no notable gap and the lines of the hood will mimic the rest of the body perfectly after what he has shown me today.
Here's a few pics without the hood all the way closed, headlight out and bumper hanging. Still not 100% sure how I'm doing the stripes.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b45/MustangSteveGT/DSC03418.jpg
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b45/MustangSteveGT/DSC03421.jpg
the opening in the back of it to help extract the heat.
This hood would actually "fit" the car right out of the box. but.. this guy is very meticulous and wants to rearrange the front end to where the front bumper meets the hood comes close to the hood, almost tucks under with no gap but no touching and the slant of the bumper curves with the angle of the hood looking at it from the side. Basically exceeding how clean the hood was originally designed to look. All that without even making one cut or grinding into the hood.

Oh yeah, the overall plan is to paint the top exterior surface silver with the black stripes and the under side will be painted the semi-gloss black, like the mach 1 rear spoiler.
This Kaenon hood came painted white on the top and the under surface is crudely gel-coated black. So if you were really cheap you would only technically have to paint to exterior surface and get away without painting the underside.
The quality of this hood is amazing! You pay a lot more with these than you do the eBay no name hoods but their fitment and cosmetic design really plays off the design cues from the rest of the car quite nicely. Even with out the body guy going into detail on this project you can tell beforehand that this is a very high quality piece.
edit: and of course is clears the massive intake manifold i have, which is more or less the whole point of all this trouble.

Get some painters tape and layout on the hood what you are thinking and see how it looks. You can play with different dimensions that way and get the look you want. Just a thought.

I've been getting the car ready for the Volo show. Trying to do a few minor things to help my 100,000 mile 2v new edge junk box get some attention.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b45/MustangSteveGT/DSC03617.jpg
I polished the supercharger, power pipe, grille and other shinny things. Removed some of the blue stuff from under hood. Someone over the years over-sprayed silver on the hood latch release all over the yellow handle and the rest of it which looked like sh-t IMO. Sanded all that down and repainted black. No more silver over spray. Same with the radiator mounts which had rust from daily driving winters and tools sitting on them over the years.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b45/MustangSteveGT/DSC03604.jpg

This past winter, before I deployed I had the supercharger intake tubing off the car. I sanded the rust off and just did a crappy rustoleum paint job to keep the rust away. I'm revisiting that area and doing it right now that it isnt 25 degrees in my garage and I can concentrate on this stuff.
This would namely be the intake tubing that runs right into the manifold. To me, this a like a centerpiece of the engine bay and the temporary job I sprayed on it look like sh-t. So I spent yesterday sandblasting and sanding what was left of the pro charger foil coating and paint I sprayed on it down to the metal. Sprayed it with much better primer. Today it is colored black, outside baking in the sun before I go further with it.
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b45/MustangSteveGT/DSC03616.jpg
You can see I've been practicing on a cardboard box. Practice is important in this case because I need to play with the masking tape and the flame colors/fade. The pin striping framing the edges of the flames (which I alsopracticed with) is Ford silver metallic just like the car. The yellow you see is dupli color "chrome yellow" and the vibrant red is laser red which is the metallic you see on the sn95 cars. Hopefully the vibrant red in the flames will play into the red interior and brake rotors a little bit.

I also ordered one of these radiator covers to clean up the front of then engine bay without adding an overload of reflective bling. This piece covers the top of the radiator which is also what I wanted. http://www.rearseatdelete.com/products/radcover/rad_wl_1.jpg
