For those of you 2005 and up Mustang owners who drive their Mustangs in the winter, how do you assure the window door seal (at the bottom of the window) does not freeze to the window, thus preventing the one inch window drop when openinig the door.
This also prevents the glass from re-sealing correctly in the top window seal when you then close the door.
is this an issue for you? i drove mine last winter and didnt have any problems.

Actually, I had the problem with the Challenger that has the same 1 inch window drop feature (The Challenger has to stay outside overnight currrently). And last night, apparently moisture got between the glass and the weatherstrip and it would not drop.
The upper seal flexed enough to allow the door to open but it would not seal properly when I closed the door, that is until I defrosted it enough and put the window down and back up.

No problems with mine last year either. Maybe you need to stop breathing heavy when you're in your car so the condensation won't freeze. :003:

a thin light coat of petroleum jelly on all the seals will keep them from sticking during cold temps.

From your sig pic, looks like you have experience with outside storage. I'll be able to get it inside over the T-Day weekend to lube up dem seals...

the Mustang has rarely been outside in the snow actually and i never had this problem eighter on that car, but I have lived in Chicago for 26 years and have owned a multitude of cars that i drive during the winter and store outside, Plus I am an experienced automotive tech.. the jelly is an old mechanic's trick :023:
