Okay, so I have some pretty horrific coffee/mud/who-know-what stains in the carpet of my car (Whoo hooo tan interior -_-); left behind fromt he orignal owner, not me.

Anywho, I got the Stoner carpet cleaner from Steve and I spent close to an hour trying to scrub out a couple of the stains. After all that time, and turning a nice white towel pitch black (yes I used a scrub brush too) it looks like nothing has been done.

Now I'm not saying that the product doesn't work, I'm just saying these stains are horrible.

Anyone got any tips or tricks on getting these damn things out?

If its in that bad and that long you probably have to get the carpet out to fully get under and as much as you can.

Lil' Green Clean Machine is a fairly affordable little carpet cleaner for small spots in the house and in the car.

But sometimes, it might just come down to replacing the carpet if it is reallty bad.

We offer carpet extraction. Ive seen some pretty rough carpets. If it is that bad replacement may be the only option. Especially if its thru to the insulation. Keep in mind the car can become a breeding ground for bacteria. Just an FYI.

I dont mean to scare anyone. Ive seen enough cars with this same problem and have huge issues under the carpet and seats. Ever wonder where the old car smell comes from in classic cars. Its usually a leaking cowl, weatherstrip, or other cause. Kyra all you need to do is pull up the rocker panel trim piece put on a latex glove and put your hand under the stained carpet. If the floorboard or insulation is wet then the carpet has to be replaced. If its dry then you can shampoo the carpets and use anti bacterial soap. This should buy you time until you can replace the carpets. If you dont want to investigate it we offer this service. Shampoo and extracting the carpets are about $50.00. A little investigating will save you in the long run. Hope this helps.

Kyra - if you've got the money, Steve does a GREAT job and it would be well worth your time :)

Its not much money to just replace it and a few hours worth of easy work.
