Okay, so I have this friend of mine who sold his built Mustang because he finally could afford his dream truck, and found one in the color he wanted too....Anyways, he's still a Mustang guy, and LOVES his truck, but wants to get back into a Mustang. Doesn't have to even be a newer one. He'd settle for a notchback or something...Only thing is my friend is saving for an engagment ring, and cant afford and doesnt want another car payment...Now...with what hes got saved up for the ring, he could probably find a running foxbody and start building THAT....But then he wont be able to afford the ring that he's gonna propose with in March. What should he do!?!?! Hes keeping the truck, saving for a ring, and wants to get back into a Mustang because he misses his!! My friend doesnt know what to do! Please help!!

I told him to instal the damn parts he's got sitting in his room for the truck once the weather gets nice, and he'll never even think about another Mustang again because the truck will FLY.
OR I told him he's got a great job, and he could get married in July 2010 like his g/f wants, and down the road after a couple raises with the Fire dept he could build any Mustang he wants once he's married and the Lightn....Truck...is paid off. But hes one of those guys who wants everything NOW!!!!

....Maybe he could find a Notchback roller for like $1500, and slooowly build that. As long as he's got some kinda project to keep him busy, it doesnt even hafta run for a year or two, as long as hes got something to build he'll be happy...Cuz he doesnt wanna build his truck TOOO much, because horsepower=problems...And a 12 second pickup truck is awesome, but not fast enough....

I think he should get the notch and get a ring out of a gumball machine. that way it only costs a quarter and you have all that extra money to play with..

I mean I think your friend should do this

Well, yeeeah. Thats what I told my friend. That he's got his whole life ahead of him, and I know how he feels bout his g/f, and shes more important than any stupid car out there...He could build something down the road and just do little bolt-ons to his truck and it'll be perfectly fine till he could buy another mustang.

did you ask Brit for advice for your friend? I'm sure she'd have an opinion on the subject!

...Uhhhm...Well, me and my friend are kinda keeping the whole him buying an engagment ring thing a secret from her...Cuz she'd go tell her friend about it, because my friend is dating her friend.

I thought your friend was gay? :ohsnap:

J/k! :003:

Buy the ring first. The Pony will come in time. I have Automotive Attention Deficit Disorder and jones for different cars all the time and I usually get an ass-beating when I put them before my spouse. Just a word of warning....
