What are your average and slightly above average outputs from modded GTIs? Just ball-parking about 200 HP stock and I saw Stage 3 turbo kits putting out 290 HP on 93 oct gas (for over $4K!! and that did not include a necessary exhaust upgrade??).

Anyway, one tried to play with me on the way to work this morning. Did not sound stock, more wastegate, more whistling than stock. it was pretty quick but when I dropped the hammer in my Mustang from 40 and 50 mph (no "official street racing"), he kept falling back. But he was nice about it, when I slowed down for traffic, he pulled up and gave me a thumbs-up. I returned the thumbs-up and we parted ways in traffic a while before I exited. We never slowed down sufficiently or close enough together to ask him what he had done to it.

a couple buddy's had one, one a 1.8T and the other 2.0T. Very fun car to drive! Quick, not fast but a blast to drive, handles very well. I like them, and would love to have one, but can't get past the look overall, plus more premium fuel :( Great car, go for it man.

Oh, I'm not interested in one. Just wandering about their potential as "victims" on the streets when they attempt to play with the big dogs.

Sure, anyone with enough $ can probably set one up to be a real rip snorting monster that could tan my normally-aspirated-GT's hide but for the average modded GTI on the street...I'm figuring it will usually not be a problem from my limited internet research. :burnout:
