I just bought mine today, will be delivered and stand assembled on December 2. Got the 1080 46" should be SWEET!! Samsung has been doing screens for Sony for years and actually I could see the picture difference from the middle of the store-beautiful.
Anyone have Samsung LCD??

I have a 50" Samsung DLP, its almost obsolete now (3 years old) but still a great TV. I want to get a new LCD flatpanel, and would only go Samsung if I did.

Congrats on the new TV. I just got a Vizio 42 inch for the bedroom I mounted it on the wall. Do you have a HD siginal source? I just hooked mine to the antenna for the HD stuff and orderd a Direct TV HD DVR. the guy gave it to me free.

yea I have a 56" dlp and when it goes it will most likely be a Samsung that replaces it. As long as they keep on their standards. My tv is just 1 year old so I hope to get a few more years out of it atleast

Actually, and this is kinda funny...I do not have a cable hook up for this big screen! I may have to change that...but the two bedrooms have cable, not a big deal. I talked to the sales guy and he said I do not need anything for the HD change on 2/19/09.
Good to know Samsung has a good screen. Years ago I bought a Samsung VCR and it was crap, took it back to the store. But that was like 10 years ago. : )
Yeah watching TV on this baby will be awesome.

If you have it hooked up to an antenna that's about the best signal you can get I get full 1080 off the antenna on the Chicago local channels. But I miss the DVD so I have a HD/DVR Box on order
Just make sure your on HD channels like 32.1 or 5.1 if your just on 32 or 5 your not getting the HD signal. I don't know how many time someone said they had a HD tv and it was hooked to a std cable box. On most tv's on an antenna you need to tell it to search for HD siginals they sometimes call it digital

Thank you! : ) I have a DVR that picks up digital channels so I think I get what you're saying. Can't wait to get it!

Hey Shar! Long time no speak! Glad to find where you finally landed after all the bull****.
I too bought a 46" Samsung LCD this past Spring and this fall I added a 42" Samsung Plasma for the bedroom! They both rock. The LCD is 1080p but the Plasma is 720p and I can't tell the difference. PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks Mark, good to hear the reviews for Samsung. I think I'll be really happy with it. I'll PM if I have questions. My Mom will be here for the install while I'm at work....I'm going to assume to get to view my DVR I'll need to go to a menu and go to S-Video instead of channel 91 like I do now.??
Yeah I missed you guys too. PM

Just make sure that DVR is a High Def one and you'll be all set. And I'd love a PM with the real scoop. I'm pretty sure I already know the details but I've been ticked since it all went down.
