So being the technologically advanced group that we are (ie we use computers!) here's a question for you...

Would you use a video phone? (a phone connected over your existing internet connection) Say the service cost $30-$40 a month - and that would be unlimited calling, if you traveled/moved you could take the phone with you AND the phone number.

The phone itself a. can be connected to your big screen TV if you want to see people larger than life :) and b. can double as a digital photo frame when not in use.

I saw it yesterday in action and it totally reminded me of the Jetsons phone! But its going to be on the Celebrity Apprentice tonight so I'm intrigued.

As an aside...what would be different from using a video phone vs using a webcam over Skype? (I've never used either so that's why I'm asking)

Thanks!!

I suppose it would be really neat for family events like Christmas to share with those out of town but otherwise I'd consider a novelty. Then again that's what they said about television when it first came out so who knows....

I think it could have it's place, however only as a "specialty" phone. Meaning I'd drag it out for holidays or whatever. LOVE the Apprentice. God the Ladies got their Butts kicked by the guys this time!! All I ever see is Kardashian whining about something. LOL

I have to say the phone wasn't well showcased last night, but I was at an ACN party and they had one of the phones there for people to make calls and it's just amazing.

You know, the internet was just in its infancy when I was in college...and now I have a cell phone that's a mini-computer. And now we have video phones. It really is amazing what technology can do!

My wife and I love that show too and it's 10x better with celebrities than it was with average people. The men sure kicked ass with their video and I'm glad one of dem bitches went home! :D I look forward to Kardashian leaving next (how the frick is she even considered a celebrity in the first place?!?).

Oh yeah it really is a fun show to watch. But I was also shocked to see Kardashian..I guess because she's on her sister's reality cable show. She's not what I call business smart. I remember one episode where she through a fit at the Mom's boutique and just started throwing stuff. LOL. She'll be next.

Can't wait for next week. I do think the funniest "ego" was Gene Simmons! OMG...he was soooooo into "him" it was hysterical. After all, he knows better than the Donald.

Ok sorry kinda drifted off the video phone

Gene Simmons was great on that show lol. Yeah he did himself in, but he had PERSONALITY and actually knew what he was talking about. Kardashian is still a KID and clueless at best. BTW, Rodman's gone the next time the men lose again....

For SURE Rodman HAS to go...what a waste! He hasn't done anything !!!! WTH I'm still trying to figure out the deal when he was in Black's face...wondering if that was just made up to boost the ratings.
