Well my OEM 18 year alternator finally bit the dust. Several of us had gone up to the Grove, lets see there was Joann and Mike, and Steve in his 454 Vette and me! When I got there baby was rattling pretty loud so we decided to look under the hood and low and behold, it was the alternator. Now I always thought the '93 GT came with a 95amp but well you learn something new everyday, she came with a 75amp. But for me that was no biggie, I don't run an elaborate sound system or gound effects lights or anything of that nature so I didn't upgrade to the newer 3G or 95 or 130amp models, I stayed the old tried and true OEM 75amp original. Thanks to Mike from CRS Auto for getting the alternator and making it ready for a fast quick and simple install. And yes we stayed with Motorcraft since of late all our experiences with after market stuff, cheaper though they may be, the quality of all this stuff is I'll be nice, terrible. Mike has been finding out if he stays with AC Delco and or Motorcraft, he has no fit or quality problems so we stayed with Motorcraft for the alternator and so far no fit or quality problem.
Incidentally for those that will say why didn't you go a 3G, thats only a designation for generation, mine is a 2G and made to fit the 5.0 87 to 93 fox bodies, all 94 and up came with 3G right from the factory.
ok Back to the Grove guys!

Barry, I've learned there was no exact alternator for fox bodies. Ford used a wide variety of alternators. Just like fuel pumps. They were not always the same.
