Hey, I just picked up a Snow Performance Water/Meth kit Stage 1 and I was wondering if anyone had anything to say about them. Pros/Cons, ect. Anyone using Meth injection on their stangs?

I've heard some hard core (multiple turbos, combination turbo/SC set ups, some also incoporating nitrous either to burn or be used to cool across an intercooler) guys on forums rip them (Snow and their kits) for being too main-stream and that the kits were too cookie-cutter but for the average Joe looking for an edge (or safety) on a boosted set-up, I've read many other magazine articles that indicate it is a great place to start and easy to use.

I'd say if you are just now asking about them then you are not yet in the group that needs an extreme hard core set-up so Snow should have a kit that will suit your needs.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

Hey Brian,
I'm not sure you will get too much out that being a 6 banger N/A although I know how you buy so your gonna get your money's worth. I saw that snow has a new controller that allows you to run a single tune, you only get the meth under conditions that require injection. This being that u can run the car all day on a commute without using any meth, but when you hammer the throttle u get your added power. Also running the safe boost add on would be a good thing incase u ran dry or had clogged injectors.

You can get the skinny on this by asking Mike Post a DynotuneMP. I've seen some cars in his shop that he had installed snow systems on. The snow system will allow you to run cooler intake charges and change your timming for more HP, so the more air you can get to the motor the better. Also a tune will be needed to max the potential of the system.

I'm planning on a snow system myself right after the short block install, I was going to go nos but I like the new systems from Snow Performance.

I was assuming boost of some sort. With N/A, yes, gains will be smaller.

Depends what you are using it for. Most won't use them to tune to the ragged edge, as a clogged injector nozzle or a bad batch of meth can ruin your day in a hurry. However, if you tune your car without it, and then use it to keep the IAT cooler, it can be a great addition. I had one on my SRT-4 (600HP) and used it to keep IAT's cool, and it was nice. While others were having heat soak type issues, losing HP every pass they made, I was able to stay VERY consistent. IAT is way more important than most people realize.
