Took the car to get emissions tested today, roads were ok with the exception of one patch of water. Wiped it all down when I got home though.
At the emissions test facility almost everyone working came over to check out the car, so made me feel good that people were liking it. One person even asked if I wanted to trade cars with them. Car still has a great shine and reflection on it 11 months after my last Showcar Detail with the use of no polished or waxs since then, and its even been months since I've used quick detailer.

I reinstated my full coverage on March 1st in prep for having to go and take emissions so I was covered. And passed no issues, I didn't expect any since only engine mods I have are CAI and tune.

Great to hear Dan. :023:
It was a beautiful day for a cruise.
Today was my first official cruise too! :drive:
I was able to come home just before 11am and pull my pony out, drop the top and cruise around doing a whole mess of errands before returning to work at 2:30 (and leaving at 3:00)! Perks of a service tech.
Got a lot of rubberneckers and people pointing at the sequencials.
I paid for it tonight with a emergency call out to Navy pier at 6pm....the pier was hoppin tonight!

Looks like I'll have to request my emissions early, as in later this year, before I put my car in storage for the next winter season. You see, my plates expire in January 2010 and there is no way I'm going to be taking her out in Jan for testing. And I don't want to have to pay any late fees for missing registratin by a few months and I don't want to risk losing my plates either.:wall:

You can take emissions 3 months prior to your expiration month. My eligibliy was december for expiring in march. The people at the place also told me you can pay to extend your registration and change the expiration month as well, so I may look into that to get my month changed to sometime in the summer when it comes up again in 2 years.

:023:Cool! Thanks for that useful bit of info! That might be a better option if I ever need the winter to convert exhaust back to "stock" for testing rather than doing it at the end of the season before storage.

Hmmm....I haven't received an emissions test notice yet? When does that start and is it a county decision on what year vehicles start testing?

first test is 4 years then every 2, so if you have an 05 they have begun, 06 later this year or whenever your vehicle was first purchased from the dealer.

Thank you. So if I purchased my 06 in Jan 07, than it will 4 years from that purchase date or Jan 2011. :023:
