Went to the track again. Didn't really improve my time much but I figured out some things i have to try next time.

Best run was only 13.531 @105.07 on a 2.244 60 foot.

But good news is that best mph for the car is a tad over 108.

I was trying to do the runs with only 1st thru third but I see I definatly need 4th.

So next time going to try using 4th and hoping for a 110mph trap.

Learning to drag race at the track is not just a matter of mashing the pedal. You'll get better and you'll get the hang of it. 3 main areas of concern, Launch, shifting, control. You need to launch with very little wheel spin but get those 60' times down, they have a direct bearing on your 1/4 times (hense slicks or drag radials)! Shifting without loss of power and staying within the engines power band is very important to sustain HP and speed, get a good shifter, and learn how to shift good! Control, keep the car straight, swerving and or fishtailing cost time, and in a close race, you can't afford time, matter of fact thats what its all about, TIME! Shortest time usually wins!
It looks from your results and speed you have the power, 108 to 110 miles an hour in the 1/4 should be in the mid 12 sec range, but all 3 of the above are effectively effecting those times.
Have a good time doing it, and by all means, have fun!
