Sunday night I was driving south on Rte. 83 near Arlington Hts. Rd. and I was turning into the gas station there when I hit a snow/ice patch and hit the huge snow bank with the left front corner of my 06 Mustang vert 6-cyl. The front facia is now dented in and slightly displaced, and the turn signal seems out of place as well. I am NOT very happy, of course, but I would now need to get a replacement and was curious if the California Special front facia would fit on my car. If I do that, I would probably get the rear as well since I would like to get the dual exhaust. I know it's probably a stupid question, but when I was looking online, it said it was a replacement for the GT and said nothing about the V-6.

Nope...at least I have heard the hood or grill placement is different.

I've heard the same thing regarding the grill, but not 100% sure

Contact Ford parts dept., assuming you are ordering from Ford. Or vendor of choice.:) sorry to hear about the accident, but nice if you could pull a mod out of it. Also a possibility, if your excellent body guy could modify to make it fit after you talk to the vendor. It may be doable....never know unless you get some concise answers. Like exactly why it would not fit.

I'm HOPING that my repair guy will be VICTOR FORD! That's kind of why I posted this here, and because I have been kind of busy and can't get out there to talk to them yet. I was just wondering if they knew if it would fit before I went in there to talk to them.

Steve, Sorry to hear that happened.
This bumper kit requires the use of a GT style grille, and V6 owners need to purchase 2005-09 Mustang GT grille kit.
Thats what I heard as well.

Boooooooo...I LOVE my Pony grille!

Well, I suppose the "good" part of this is that maybe I can just get the dual exhaust now instead of spending the money on the rear facia...

Ok...so I brought the car into a body shop today and they called their Ford guy and he said that they CAN use the CS front with my Pony grille?!?!?!?!?!

Now, if this is in fact true, I have the option to get the California Special front, but then I'm pretty sure that I would HAVE to then get the CS rear or the car would look too "front heavy". But if I get the CS rear, I definately HAVE to get the dual exhaust cause the car would look ridiculous with only one muffler. I really think that the CS front and rear would look SICK in Windveil Blue...

So basically my choice is the standard V6 front repaired for $700 or the whole thing for like $2500!

So, what do you all think???

The CS/Shelby GT front bumper is the one I've wanted for my car, just never pulled the trigger to spend the money myself.
I think you'd be ok with just the front vs the back also, either the GT rear or CS/ShelbyGT rear would be fine also though. You can always do the front and see if you like it without the rear and add that later if so. Just a thought.

I would say go for the whole package if you have the extra $$

When I got the dual exhaust on Murstang I was absolutely thrilled with the sound difference and the way the dual exhaust completes the look of the mustang.
(well at least I always thought something looked like it was missing with the single exhaust)

And on top of that, you'll have a completely different looking pony to show off this season!

Either way, I'm excited to see what you decide to do. :)

Steve when it comes to the Mustangs I always say go big or go home. That doesn't mean I always get what I want I just have to wait longer and do it during the off season. Good luck!
