Ok guys I need some opinions on exhaust setups. I would like to keep a somewhat different/ original sound. Im either going to go with midpipe or catback. Can I replace the catylics with hi-flow cats on my bullitt if so i will probly just change out my mufflers...if not then ill probly go with a catted x. I appreciate ANY input here guys...and gals!:100:

okay, you can go with a different midpipe, something like a prochamber but then you'd just sound like everyone else that has one. S197 don't really have any catback exhaust, except for the pypes mid muffler system, just axle back. pypes mid muffler is a good system and sound great but it has fitting issues and if you do go with another midpipe, they will be loud.
I like my mac axle back

Yeah sorry...lol ...I just traded in my 04 so im used to saying catback. So Im kinda leaning towards keeping the stock h pipe because it has some sort of baffle in there that gives it a different sound. Basically what ever i decide i dont want to spend over 500 bucks. Have you heard the new flowmasters for 3vs yet? i cant find a video

Im not a fan of pypes axle backs but there is a video of them on a bullitt and they sound dam good...ive heard the older flowmasters on our s197 and i dont thinkg they sound good IMHO...but someone told me that there are new flows for the 3vs...im kinda digging them because of the black finish.

Borla..: ) I have FRPP m5230-5GT <made by Borla> and I like the deep sound. Car is still quiet until I get on it. Bassani Borla..maybe listen on their websites and see what you like? I wanted mine a little louder and that's all. It's respectable for a Vert.

Loud Pipes saves lives or does that only work for motorcycles

I have bassani mufflers on the Shelby. It has a nice deep tone with zero drone. I have an automatic so with a manual trans it will be louder especially if you like to drive in lower gears. I purchased the mufflers from Anderson Ford in Clinton Il.
Right now we have a stock bullitt in the shop and the exhaust while unique in sound is still to quiet. I recommend waiting till there is a get together somewhere and you can listen to each brand in person before making a choice.

Anderson Ford? Ill have to check them out. Yeah your very right on about listening in person. The same exhaust setup on tube can sound completely different depending on the video quality. My ears are craving a loud sexy exhaust note so much I might pull the trigger before I can make it to a meet!
