The show consisted of a free registration car show, free food (great brats!) & soda and most of all the vet patients got to come out and see the show. It's nice giving back.

The show gets little bigger every year. Last year there were a lot of clouds out so I think that affected the turnout. This year with 0% chance of rain, the turnout was good. The food was improved this year too. Last year they didn't have enough for everyone if you didn't show early and it was cheaper stuff.
I actually enjoyed the grilled brats. Jimmy, one of the organizers was one of the guys doing the grilling.
I was car 182 when I registered and I saw some more cars come in, so there had to be around 200 cars. Maybe someone else caught the final attendance count who can chime in.
If they keep getting big turnouts like this I don't see why they couldn't expand the show classes and add make or year specific classes.

Great video Steve. Thank you for the invite it was a great time. We will come back next year with our own area, canopy, and WCS crew to represent. I talked to Jim already and hes all for it.

looks like some good cars there, wish I could have made it out. Forgot I scheduled time for a friend and I to brew a batch of beer, although as late as he showed up I could have probably come for a couple hours, lol

That's kind of funny I had just gotten out of work so I didn't have time to change. If I got out any later I would've missed registration. I bet there were a lot of other active duty people out there that just weren't in uniform. I washed it again when I got home before going back to work this morning because I sweat into it so much. lol
Julie bringing all that water was a smart move! That is vital on a day like yesterday.

I received a thank you letter from the VA for attending the show, as others of us may have as well.
It said over 210 cars were in attendance. They stated there is another show next year Saturday July 16th, 2011.
Next year the facility will be called the James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center after the VA merges with the Navy clinic.
