This site is all about Mustangs but is obviously geared towards a certain genre. I'd like to get a recount of the members that are from our era. Show quality or not isnt really the point. What have you done with your car, performance &/or aesthetic alike is.
Especially would like to hear from the new or "lurkers" out there not knowing when or how to jump in. Here's your invite!
Back to the Recount: 91' Mustang GT here. Bought the car new back in the day and have always loved it. To date I've done a few things under the hood and will be starting on the outside soon. Love doing my own work but have no problem stepping aside when over my head.
Call me a loyalist but this is by far the best and most popular era of Mustang. There's many historical tie-ins out there and modern day evolutions from the past but all in all the 5.0 is the staple and epitome of what Mustangs are all about.

Fair enough Mike. That is a sweet color and of course once you go 5.0 you can never look back. Glad to see Ford wised up and would envy your purchase!

Wow, nice pic! I know you mentioned the 91' but I never looked at your album. Brings more shame to my current situation but am working on it!
Going soley by the age of your cars you truly seem to go through a from of 7 year itch. You're due!!! ;)

Well I will still keep the Fox for now but I want 412hp with a warranty that I can baby from day one. I plan on keeping it totally stock except for maybe a different exhaust. I also have always wanted to order a car which I am planning on doing with this one so I could get it exactly the way I want it.

I'd be very clear with them that the miles are not to be over 2 or there's no deal. To get the car from the plant onto a truck over to the lot is less than 1 mile. Here's what i'm getting at. My wife and I bought our 91 in 91 with all of 8 miles on it. I believe in properly breaking in a car and being a Mustang that others are test driving arent there to break anything in. They wanna beat the poop outta it.
Now my purchase was an off the lot type vs. actually ordering and waiting BUT that doesnt mean once that shiny new toy hits their lot the sales managers dont get the urge to drive it. (beat to poop outta it.) I.E. i'd set a mileage limit of acceptance.

I got my 91 back in '96. I had an 86 at the time too but took the engine and trans out to put in my 90..
There is only 1 5.0 in my book. anyone driven a new 5.0? they do not feel like a mustang. so quite and no low end power. Nice motor ford but long live the pushrod 5.0

got any current pics of the Saleen? Saleen's were made from lx's. That has to be pretty rare if it's a gt. Where are you with those gas prices?

That's funny Larry, I asked the same thing when I saw that pic about the gas prices......the scary thing is that was a spike a few years back but is our future sooner or later. Of course I vote for the later..........
Sounds like a fun project. Better than a potato sack race!

I have a 92 LX. Some but not all of the current mods Holly Systemax Intake, TFS Stage 1 Cams, TW FAC 170 Heads and a Pro-M MAF.
No pics but I have a link to an out dated dyotune.
