Cruisin Antioch Event

Cruisin downtown Antioch

I spoke with Mike (2006 Mustang vert owner) he is the coordinator of this event, They are the fourth Wednesday of every month.
The June 23rd date is the biggest!... Police escort starting at Walmart, and continuing into town, and ending in the piggly Wiggly parking lot with festivities including the Mayor, Press, ribbon cutting, DJ music ect.
They have been advertising this on the radio as well as newspapers, so it could be a large turn out.

June 23rd
July 28th
August 25th
September 22nd.

I will be attending this and hope many WCS members will join, so answer the poll for the June 23rd date only.
I need to give Mike an idea on how many Mustangs to expect so he can inform the village and police dept. on the amount of cars expected.

Mike the coordinator said he'll be in the front of the procession w/his 2006 Stang, and said he could get all of us together up towards the front with him.
I'm thinking we can meet at the north east area of the Walmart parking lot over by the oil change garage.
I will plan on being there at 5:30.

I wont be able to make it, was hoping to but just found out today that I need to go to the Hewlett-Packard office in Naperville for some random meeting. So there is no way I will make it back in time. No idea what the meeting is about and never met with the HP guys before so should be interesting, I'd rather do car stuff, LOL

UPDATE:
I spoke with the organizer today, and with the threat of storms for tomorrow, he said they will only cancel if weather is a safety issue.
If it rains near 5:00-5:30ish then they will delay the cruise to start at 6:30.
Windycitystangs is getting preferential cruise space at the front of the line.

Please bring a non-parishable food donation.

Sounds like the cruise is going to be awesome! Front of the line................ hope there's time for some to get pictures. Final staging prior to take off for the cruise would be perfect. The police car, lights going, with a trail of Stangs at the ready????? GOOOOOOOd times!!

As of right now, radar shows storms in the area, til about 10:30 am then clearing until 1pm - will be checking back on the radar to see how long the "clear" will last - hearing more storms this evening, but keeping my fingers crossed for good weather!!!

"Cruisers" assemble at Walmart parking lot (Deep Lake rd. & 173) to be escorted at 6:00 to Piggly Wiggly parking lot.
