Question for everyone.

What can be done about the car interior lighted button paint chipping away? For example, the unlock button on the drivers door, at night when the button is lighted up I can tell the paint is chipping away and the unlock symbol is barely visible. What can be done to fix this. Is there special car interior lighted button paint? Has anyone else experienced this on there 5th generation mustang? Any good ways to fix it? Let me know. Thanks.

It really shouldn't be doing that. I'd check with the dealer and see if its under warranty, especially of the symbol is coming off.

I had the same issue with one of the buttons on the stereo panel. No way to fix it they told me other than replace the whole unit which was not under the warranty. I tried black nail polish but didn't like that look either.

Replace it and only use the key fob to unlock the doors from now on. Not the advice you were looking for but other than a warranty claim there's no solution to it other than replacing it and hoping it doesn't happen in the future.

Also make sure you use a gentle interior cleaner
