First of all I’d like to thank GTO Lord (John) and Grabber (Chris) for their help during the install. I am not sure if I could have done it without you.

The install took nearly 2.5 hours, the directions and video were of an older model then the one I’ve had. Taking out the old shifter took maybe 20mins. But the MGW Shifter would not go into the whole the old shifter just came out off. After about 45mins of trying different thing to get it through we took out the shifter adjuster box. Then we couldn’t get front of the shifter to where it needed to be in the transmission and we had more issue putting in the bolt. Other than that it was easy. Lol

We set at 8 turns with is about 44% shorter throw. My first drive impressions where the it was hard to shift into first but very nice. It will take some time to get use to it and I am thinking of lowering it to 6 turns.

Congrats!

I don't recall any install difficulties in the two I've had a part in installing.

What knob did you go with? I went with the metric shift arm and re-used th stock knob, though I really like the big cue-ball style knobs.

Love those short throw shifters! It does take a little time getting used to, once you trust the shifter it becomes easy, you'll never want to return to that sloppy stock shifter again!!
I've never missed a gear since I had mine, it's a breeze and I recommend short throws to everyone! I had a friend drive my car, he never used a short throw before, I was laughing so hard watching him shift! He was so carefull not to miss a gear until he realized he couldn't....he couldn't get over how precise the shifting was! Good luck and enjoy your new shifter!!
