I bought my Stang equipped with a Firewall clutch adjuster (see photo), does anyone know the proper way to set one of those so the clutch is properly adjusted? There's a set screw on it which in my case was loose, this allowed my clutch to go out of adjustment. I'm not sure if there should be some slack in the cable, presently there is no slack at all. If you could help me out I would really appreciate it! Thanks,
MP
(My clutch pedal is almost all the way out when the clutch engages, it should be a bit closer to the floor or about halfway through the pedals travel right?)

It should start engaging around half way out. You just got to play with it till you get it where you want it really there is not set spot.

No Problem! I knew nothing about them until I swapped my AOD to a T5 last spring. I just played with it till I got it where I want it.

When i had a 5 speed, i had mine adjusted like this:
On the street, from under the hood, pull the cable slightly and see how much slack is between the adjuster and the flange of the cable, ou want 1/8" gap at most.
When racing, tighten up to have about a penny's thickness gap of slack
