Long ago my Dad rescued a old school clock from the trash heap and added new workings in traditional waste nothing fashion.
Well after Dad passed away and all the brothers were cleaning out the garage during my Moms move to new digs, the clock was once again in the dumpster.
I salvaged it and hung the old dingy gray clock in my garage.
It's been hanging there for about 5 years now.
Last week I was looking at that clock in the garage.
I remembered these clocks I saw on the internet and the old light bulb went "on"!
I carefully took apart the clock and cleaned all the pieces before painting.
After 2 cans of Testors Ford Grabber Orange paint, a special center insert, and a reassemble, this is what it finally looks like.
I think Dad would approve and be happy I am keeping something he once used in his garage.
It turned out to be a great weekend project!!! :D
