I sold my Drag Lites Yesterday and I had to go back to my Ponys for now but I am contemplating my new rim situation. I have thought about going to 5 Lugs from 4 to increase my rim choices and I was originally planning on doing Bullits or Mach 1 Rims on my Fox. Which I think is a nice look.
Then today I came across these Chrome 03 Cobra style 17x9's that are 4 lugs. It certainly save me work and money to stick with four lugs especially since I already bought 31 spline rear axles for it. This is pretty close to what my car looks like minus the red stripe...These are the 03 Cobra Rims that I am interested in it just so happens they are on a car like mine.

I do like them but I do have issues with chrome. I wish they had anthracite in these....
I have also considered going anthracite 95 Cobra R's that are 17x8

I am leaning toward the 03 Cobra Style even though they are chrome. They do have black also but I think that is too much on a white car. I would do black on any other color but not white.
What do you think? Stick with 4 lug and choose one of the Cobra Rims or convert and Go Bullits or Mach 1's?

IMO the Chrome Cobra rims look much better on that style car. Also, imo, chrome looks so much better than anthracite. Again, my opinion. Bling Bling

I love the anthracite look, but not for a bright car, chrome IMO on white, or Silver. Anthracite looks great on a grey or black car

IDK The rim looks hood however for me if you dont have a cobra I would not get Cobra rims just does not fit in with the car.
Nothing wrong with Bullits .

in my own opinion the 2 rims i like to see on foxebodies are the ones you currently have or the 10th anniversary cobra wheels colored/plated in something that best matches the color of the car.

IMHO, a 5 spoke wheel with 4 lug nuts showing just rubs me the wrong way. I think it is much more pleasing when the spokes are a multiple of the exposed lug nuts such as a 5 or 10 spoke for a 5 lug car and 4 or 8 spoke with a 4 lug car.
For color, I think chrome or white (or polished aluminum) looks good with the white paint, anthricite looks better on other colors.

I do see your point with that...but wheels are so limited in 4 lugs...

I agree on the limited styles for 4's. Not really that much out there to choose from. Those Cobra's are among the better looking ones out there.
You mentioned a 5 lug conversion but, sure, there is more expense involved including the conversion and then wheels...
If it were me, I'd save up for the 5 lug conversion and pick up a cheap set of take-offs from a later model Mustang (baring fitment issues). Then save up for the wheels I really want and relegate the cheap 5's for snow, storage or general "back-up" duty (or re-sell them).
Good luck with your decision.

Money is not really an issue as far as I can afford to do the 5 lug Conversion and buy wheels and tires but I already bought all this upgraded stuff for my four lug when I was content with my Drag Lites. Sadly some of the parts still haven't been installed yet and have sat in my garage for the last 10 months.
My wife voted for the 03 Chrome Cobra Style Wheels

Doesn't mean its a done deal. Originally I started this to get Bullits.

Love the look of the chrome Cobra's as well...Sorry, but that picture posted of the other car looks GREAT! Of course, the white snow reflecting on the chrome makes them look more white, which looks cool as well, but I think the chrome would look great.

I am 97% sure I am doing the 03 Chrome Cobra Style. I am looking into one other option. Getting my Stock Ponys powder coated. Just planning on redoing them Gray as they are now. I am gonna run over to get a quote Monday Morning.

Well I went with the 2003 Chrome Cobras....After thinking about it for the last week I think they will look best. I am getting the Nitto NT 555's for tires I hope they are as good as all the reviews I have read.
let me know what you think of them; it looks like im going with those tires too.

it sucks we have 4 lug but Bogarts are nice but very pricy and you can get Jegs knock off prostar's pretty cheap too

Yeah the 4 lug does limit us thats for sure. I did consider the knock off prostars but being that I had Weld Draglites on until a couple weeks ago the look was too much the same. I by chance found a buyer for the Draglites on Chitown and Sold them for a small profit as I bought them Used last Spring on Chitown.
New Nitto NT555 tires and Cobra rims should be here around two as that is when UPS usually shows up. I hope it warms up. I have my heater in the garage but I haven't ran the gas line yet....
