It was a good run...

Well, Jennifer and I have been engaged 8 years as of yesterday. We thought it was about time to quit procrastinating, so we were married yesterday. It was a good run, but it was time to make an honest woman of her.

We kept it simple, by going to the courthouse with our parents, then we went out to dinner and spent the evening by ourselves. Sunday we will have breakfast at a decent restaurant with our immediate families, and maybe a party for the rest of the family in the spring.

It worked out quite well, and I'm glad we finally did it.

I think for the first year anniversary present you can skip paper and move right up to copper.
I will be married 15 years this April and I find in my older years my wife has become a soul mate and best friend.
