When I bought my old F150 in 2005, I got a $500 Homer Depot gift card that I spent on a kick butt undercabinet mounted Microwave (black and stainless like the rest of our kitchen). Needless to say I was rather intimidated by the install directions (and I'm generally pretty handy with everything but plumbing) as we never had an over oven microwave and my house is pretty dang old (125+) and nothing every goes right. So I decided to wait until a rainy day when I had a little extra patience. Fast forward three and a half years later and it was still in one of our upstairs bedroom rotting away in its box.
UNTIL TODAY! :023:
My Mom needed to have her under cabinet nuker replaced so I helped my brother install it this morning. It took over 90 minutes to remove the old one thanks to the sadistic mounting method on the 12 year old one so I figured I was NEVER gonna install mine. Turned out my Mom's new one took 10 minutes to install!!! The mounting methods employed today are far easier than the old way so once I got home I decided to check mine out and it turns out it had a nearly identical mount like my Mom's new one.
I had to of course drill holes all over to get it done but I managed to get my "new" microwave installed in about an hour tonight. This after 3 1/2 years of putting it off. I still have to wire it properly (it's powered by an appliance extension cord) but the sumbiatch is in and operational!
Why put off for tomorrow when you can wait 42 months to do it! :003:
