Good job on the engine cleaning John! That thing was filthy before we left Scott's house
!
full time 4wd or part time? is it just a transfer case or do you actually have to get out and switch at the hub?

Controlled by an on/off switch.
2WD Standard, one touch 4WD.
You can feel the TQ in this thing.
really? no transfer case shifter? thats pretty jazzy.
full or part time?

Part time until the 4WD has been turned on. Full time when it is on.

I had the tires switched out last night. I just ordered 2 new tires for the front well actually they will go on the rear when I get them. Only thing left is the Windshield needs to be replaced. I need to save money hopefully I can find a place that does it cheap. Took it to work today and it needs an alligment. One question however. I take care of every car I have owned. Why do people evenif it is a beater just let these cars go to waste. I have seen mustangs where I want to punch people.

To answer your question, it could be that this is that persons first car, and they are not knowledgeable at all with cars, they simply don't care, or don't have the time and still don't care, lol.
That's how people are. I hate it with mustangs, and I see it plenty. It's a shame what people will do with these cars. Or any car for that matter.

Cool truck John...Winter beater sure but little bit of work some open up the fenders with a sawzall some give you some clearance and solve the typical Bronco rust, a little lift some real tires like 35's or 36's and take the top off the back and its a sweet summer ride too!!! If you dump it in the spring let me know..

Hey congrats on the new ride!! I've heard good things about these so I wish you a lot of luck and hopefully it'll get you through the Winters.
Yeah there are people that do not care WHAT they drive and don't take care of it...how embarrassing huh?
BTW a hmmmm....I still have my dent on the hood of the Escape from last Winter!!! Horrors and yep, I am embarrased to drive it. LOL

Full size broncos are always cool. I had an 87 a few years back. But it was just a 5L and it had the manual locking hubs and manual 4X shifter inside with 3 spd auto trans.

Don't come to Addison either.
People around here need to realize that putting fender accents that you bought at the local Auto Zone do not make up for rust and pealing/faded paint and rust. And they do not make your beat up ass Mustang (or really any car) a "sweet ride"
Lol and you gotta love the people with stock rims that SOMEHOW loose the center caps.

A three inch body lift will allow for 33 X 12 tires (based on my experience with a 93 F150). Not sure what adjustments would be necessary for the auto trans linkage.

We will see the bottom is pretty rusted out. I need am sure all Bushings need to be replaced before anything is done. I need to get this thing up in the air and take a peek. But thanks guy. My First goal is Winter and to get through it. Not sure what I am doing after that. Be cool to hang on for a bit as a daily but we will see.:coffee:

Rust blows. But, yeah, if the floors are weakened enough by rust near the mounts, a body lift would not be a good idea.
But for $700, if the drive train is up to par, it will make a great winter beater as is, even if it only lasts one winter season.
