Site History
Originally I didn't want to start a Chicago area site devoted to Mustangs since there are several other sites already out there. Over time my mind changed as I become more involved in the local scene, and I wanted to see what I could put together. I wanted to create a place where everyone is welcome and can share in the common interests of cars, specifically the Mustang. WindyCityStangs is a place to get together, meet new friends, and find people with common interests who like to get together at car related events in the Chicagoland area. WindyCityStangs will also from time to time set up various events to get people together and meet new members such as carshows, poker runs, and meet ups at some of the local cruise nights.
I sincerely hope you find this site interesting, fun, and make some new friends along the way. The site officially opened 11-22-2008

Rules (Violation of the below rules will result in infractions)
1. Racially motivated posts will not be tollerated and will be deleted. Those posting this type of information will be banned from the site.
2. This site should not be used to promote any illegal activities. Posts proven to contain this type of information will be deleted and the member(s) involved will be banned.
3. Be respectful to others on the board. While we welcome friendly rivalries, "fueding" will not be tolerated. Use the PM system for individual discussions/disagreements you may have with specific users.
4. No "board bashing". If you are unhappy with another website/board, discuss your
frustrations privately. Do not use this site as a forum for your frustrations, or dislikes with another site. Any posts that attempt to damage the reputation of another board will be deleted.
5. No Advertising your business unless you are a sponsor. If you've had a positive or negative experience with a business feel free to post your thoughts, but do not promote your own business without sponsorship of the site. If you've had a negative experience with a sponsor, please try and work that out with them in private before posting on the site.
6. No vulger or offensive language in posts. Word censor is turned on, but getting around it by not using correct spelling or otherwise will not be permitted either.
Infraction Points
5 points = Temporary 1 day ban
6 points = Temporary 5 day ban
7 points = Temporary 1 Month ban
8 points = Temporary 3 Month ban
9 points = Temporary 6 Month ban
10 points = Temporary 1 Year ban
